How To Join Philippine Navy

Interested in joining the Philippine Navy as Enlisted Personnel?
Check if you possess all of the following requirements:
1. Must be a natural-born Filipino Citizen
2. At least 5 feet in height
3. Must be of good moral character with no pending civil or criminal case
4. Single, never married, with no child or child support
5. Must be physically and mentally fit
6. Must pass the AFP Aptitude Battery Test, IQ, and Special Written Examinations
7. 18-23 years old
8. Holder of at least 72 units or graduate of a two-year vocational course preferably a technical course.

   Example of a technical course
   a. Electronics
   b. Electrical
   c. Plumbing
   d. Welding
   e. Heavy Equipment Operator

If you possess all of the above, then you are qualified to apply as an enlisted personnel of the Philippine Navy and eligible to undergo the Basic Seaman Course.

The Initial requirements are the following:
1. Transcript of records
2. NSO birth certificate
3. Diploma
4. NBI clearance
5. 2×2 picture (with white background)

How will you know if the Philippine Navy is in the process of recruitment? Go to the Recruitment Center in Bonifacio Naval Station in Taguig City and inquire if recruitment is open.

For those who live in the provinces, the personal inquiry may be done by doing a personal visit to the following Navy Operational Commands.
1. Naval Forces Northern Luzon in La Union
2. Naval Forces Southern Luzon In Legazpi
3. Naval Forces Central in Cebu

Interested in joining the Philippine Navy as Officer?
Check if you possess all of the following requirements:
1. Must be a natural-born Filipino Citizen
2. At least 5 feet in height
3. Must be of good moral character with no pending civil or criminal case
4. Single
5. Must be physically and mentally fit
6. Must be 21-28 years old
7. Must be a Baccalaureate degree holder preferably a technical course.
8. Must pass the AFP Achievement Test, Battery, IQ test, and special
   written exams.
