Who is Leonor Rivera?

Leonor Rivera was born on 11 April 1867 in Camiling, Tarlac. She was known for being Jose Rizal’s faithful girlfriend for eleven years. It is said that she was Rizal’s inspiration for the character of Maria Clara in his novel Noli Me Tangere.
